Malta Citizenship by Investment - MIIP
Malta Individual Investor Programme (MIIP), Citizenship by Investment
The Malta individual investor programme offers citizenship to applicants and their families, who contribute to the economic development of Malta. The programme has acquired the approval of the European Union and is the first such programme available which has acquired such backing.
Citizenship acquired under the Malta IIP programme offers its applicants rights of full citizenship for life and can be passed on to future generations. Being a Member State of the European Union and a Schengen country, Maltese citizenship grants Malta Passport holders the right to travel freely within Schengen countries and a right to freedom of movement in the European Union without a requirement of a VISA. Further, Maltese Passport Holders enjoy fewer restrictions on travel to no-EU countries with which Malta has signed waiver programmes, such as the United States.
